STATO DI GRAZIA
Pasolini wrote in 1975, shortly before his death, ‘I would give the entire Montedison for a firefly.’ This suggestion, along with a gaze into the night, gave birth to the concept of ‘State of Grace’ as an earthly, embodied, and attainable condition. From this broken landscape, a gaze can emerge, one attentive to the delicacy and fragility of the human condition, and to its ability to project the light of a fragile, gentle, and intermittent vision into the darkness of the current panorama. “State of Grace” is a creative journey that centers on the individual. In a private setting, the artist guides participants, one by one, through a embodied meditation to create their unique, personalized “State of Grace.” This immersive experience culminates in a verbal narration of their vision. Through a blend of storytelling, imaginative practice, and embodiment, participants discover their creative potential. Each participant’s narrative is recorded and a polaroid snapshot captures their “State of Grace” moment. These audio and visual elements are then shared in the space where the meditation took place, allowing the public to connect with the participants’ experiences.
